DESCRIPTION:Julia Oschatz’s work combines drawing\, video\, painting\, sculpture\, stage design\, performance\, sound and text to create complex installations. These stage-like situations for short video loops and drawing series address the ambivalence between the dependence of the individual on the body and the environment\, as well as the supposed freedom of decision and action. \nA central aspect of her work are machines and masks for the video performances made out of cardboard\, which in the automatism of constant repetition hinder habits and processes and humorously question the skills of human beings. \n

DESCRIPTION:Flávia Vieira partilhará os desdobramentos da sua pesquisa artística em torno da cor obtida de pigmentos naturais\, explorando os seus cruzamentos entre cor\, natureza\, território\, cultura e memória. A partir da prática de diásporas botânicas\, a artista propõe um diálogo entre materialidade e história e entre extração e criação\, revelando camadas coloniais inscritas nas matérias cromáticas. Esta investigação coloca em evidência como a cor\, para além da sua dimensão sensível e estética\, está enredada em processos de deslocamento\, apropriação e resistência\, sendo simultaneamente testemunho material e arquivo vivo de relações históricas\, ecológicas e culturais.
